Dallas, Texas – April 10, 2018 Metro Aerospace is delighted to announce a new distribution agreement with MHD-ROCKLAND Inc. The distribution agreement allows MHD-ROCKLAND to provide sales support for Metro’s C-130 Microvanes globally in select markets. Microvanes are small aerodynamic components that are surface mounted to the fuselage of the aircraft effectively reshaping the air flow around the aft section of the aircraft. This results in decreasing the total drag on the aircraft, leading to significantly lower fuel consumption and reduced engine wear. Microvanes are designed to be installed on all variants of the C-130/L-100 Hercules aircraft, as well as other large airframes with similar upswept aft tail design.
“MHD ROCKLAND has an established record of delivering high quality aerospace products and services to the international military aftermarket,” said Leslie Peters, CEO of Metro Aerospace. “We believe this new partnership is a perfect fit to more quickly bring our drag-reducing Microvane technology and parts to the C-130/L-100 Hercules operators. We look forward to working together in a seamless and collaborative manner, delivering growth to both our businesses.”
“We are extremely honored to be chosen by Metro Aerospace and excited to take this ground-breaking product to the International community” said Andrew Smallbone, Managing Director of MHD-ROCKLAND Inc.
“We see great synergies here by partnering with Metro Aerospace and with established long term support agreements in place with many Operators, we are in a unique position to take this new product direct to market.”
