MHD-ROCKLAND receives Space Florida funding approval for expansion of Starke, Florida facility

Starke, Fla., September 12, 2019 – MHD-ROCKLAND has received conduit financing approval of up to $24 million from Space Florida to establish a pilot training and service and resource center in Starke, Florida, at the Keystone Heights Airport. Two years in the making, the approved financing allows the global leader in fixed-wing aircraft services and support to establish a strong presence and offering from its base in north Florida aimed at government partners around the world that operate Lockheed Martin’s P-3 Orion and C-130 Hercules aircraft, among other platforms. Space Florida approved the financing at its July Board of Directors meeting.

Scheduled to open in about two years, the facility is expected to employ additional persons from neighboring communities and will feature 150,000 square feet of warehouse, hangar, training and office space.

“We’ve been present in Florida since 2012 and are delighted with our decision to build and expand in the state,” says Bryan Dollimore, CEO for MHD-ROCKLAND. “Working on expansion in the region with Space Florida and support from various government agencies such as the U.S. State Department and Federal Aviation Administration, has been very efficient and fruitful. We’re optimistic about growing our presence and contributions in Keystone Heights and throughout the state as we deliver our specialized training and services to customers and assert the status of Florida and the United States as leaders in the global aerospace industry.”

With offices in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, MHD-ROCKLAND Group is a privately-held aerospace company that has, for close to 40 years, supplied high-caliber services, training and support on fixed-wing aircraft for military aircraft operators around the globe, including manufacturer support through OEM and other channel partners as well as repair and overhaul within its own facilities. The company has one of the largest privately- owned P-3 and C-130 inventories in the world, five P-3 Orions, four L-188 Electras and more than 200,000 square feet of warehouse facilities.
